Post Fact Hack

An Evening all about the proliferation of misinformation and fake news!

We begin with a keynote speech by science communicator Antonio Gomes da Costa, who will explain the post-truth landscape. Then, six teams from the Post Fact Hack will present novel proposals for how to deal with this fundamental problem.

Afterwards, Mark Kelly, winner of the Swiss Music Award 2017, will give a short concert and we will finsih the evening with an aperitif.

The Oxford English Dictionary named “post-truth” as the word of the year for 2016.

In this era of information, we are constantly bombarded by news, and often we find ourselves unable to mark the difference between what is true and what is not.

The Post Fact Hack was created to give a gathering place to all those interested in evidence-based discourse and in brainstorming new ways to communicate in this post-truth world.

The Post Fact Hack will start the weekend prior to the CineGlobe, on March 18. The participants will then present their ideas on Wednesday, March 22, during the CineGlobe Film Festival.

The event will be accompanied by the musician Mark Kelly, the winner of the Swiss Music Awards ‘Best Act Romandie’.
